I listen to NPR way too much, and with the impending super-armegeddon-of-craptacular-doom on hand, I feel like I’ve been spiraling into a whirlpool of financial confusion.  How did this happen?  What should we support?  Am I going to lose my house?  What is the best way to preserve meat salvaged from the body of my dog/cat/snake?

You see that ridiculous looking car at the top of this article? That comical abomination gets 95 miles per a gallon. It’s not even a modded hybrid. It’s an old civic. It is all at once ludicrous and inspiring, and an interesting example of hypermiling.

Little Oven

When I was eleven years old, I was convinced that I was in love. Yes, I may have had brief crushes in the past, but this time, it was for real. I’ll keep the identity of my 5th grade crush anonymous (as all 5th grade crushes should be), but she was devastating. She was smart, sophisticated, beautiful, and still a sweet person that charmed adults and children alike. My first slow dance was with her, nervous, and exciting all at once, and I assure you, it was completely adorable. We could have been one of those kleenex commercials with Billie Holiday playing in the background, complete with awkward smiles and fleeting eye contact. The feeling of a first crush is exactly what the flavors of Little Oven offer.
